It can be difficult to create the changes we want in our lives, especially when we really want to. That’s often when the habits or behaviors related to them are really ingrained in our energy systems. We have certain programs that help run our lives, at least they try to help and, at one point they really were useful. We develop certain coping skills to manage situations and, at first, we really like the outcome. It can help us to feel safe, happier, get what we want, feel in control, get along with others, feel closer or get people to appreciate us. All those things sound good, but they have a cost to them, as well.
If we do things to get people to appreciate us, the people around us get used to that behavior. They start to expect it. We even expect it of ourselves and feel guilty if we consider changing. But, what about our needs, or our desires and passions? What about our free time and our desire to curl up with a good book, or go to the beach, even if it is time to make dinner? We may even think “Of course, I can do those things if I really want to, when it’s important to me.” But how often do we choose ourselves? Why do the other people in our lives so often come first? What we focus on and give our power to gets stronger.
Energetically, these kinds of issues can come from inner children who are still trying to get their needs met in ways that worked for them when we were younger. Or, they can come from aspects of ourselves. That aspect could be the part of us that is responsible and hard-working, or that likes to get along with people or be in charge or who does not want to get into arguments. There are many different kinds of aspects. Any aspect, such as the ones above, also have an opposite, or a shadow self. None of the aspects are good or bad. If they are strong, though, they often have a weak opposite aspect.
Working with sub personalities or inner children is some of what can be done in an energy clearing and you can also learn to work on them yourself. When working with a sub-personality energetically, it will usually need reinforcement after the session to complete the change. There are things you can do for follow-up that will be recommended.
To change a behavior, think about how you would feel, look, think and act if the change had already occurred. Get the image as clear as possible. Imagine what you would say, how you would walk, what you would wear, how you would spend your time. The more you focus on this, the more you get your brain and your energy on board with creating the change.
And give yourself time to create the change you want. Be realistic and acknowledge progress! Don’t beat yourself up for making mistakes because that is focusing on what you don’t want. Think positively about the outcome!
When you do this, you are working with your sub personalities, certain programs that are at work in your life. Ideally, all of our aspects are in balance.
